Wuhan Aqua City (WAC) presents itself as an evolving response to the rising urban densities in China. Two towers, one office and one residential, are incorporated into the project together with an eleven-level commercial podium intended to anchor the eastern edge of Wuhan’s downtown retail core. MIX’s careful strategies of sub-districts and attraction induce natural ascent, creating value to the podium’s upper destinations, and effectively countering the challenges of gravity.
