MIX was retained to envision a vibrant new cultural district for Shanghai set on thirteen hectares of the former World Expo 2010 site. With a core focus on the rising fashion industry in Shanghai, the expansive master plan is designed to provide the creative infrastructure and lifestyle around which the burgeoning new creative class of Shanghai can be nurtured and grow. Included in the landscaped, pedestrian friendly development are a Fashion Boulevard, School of Design, a Media Broadcast Center, Hotels, Offices, Exhibition and Performance Halls, Children’s Exploratorium and Art Galleries and residential towers.
